Tambien en julio, recibo el encargo de fotografiar a Carme Ruscalleda, con sus tres estrellas en la guía Michelin, para la portada de Ronda Iberia del mes de agosto.

Also in July, I shot Carme Ruscalleda, the cooker with 3 Michelin stars for her restaurant Sant Pau in Sant Pol de Mar, for the August cover of Ronda Iberia magazine.

FOTOPERIODISME PER A REDACTORS / PHOTOJOURNALISM FOR WRITERS

La semana del 14 al 18, de vuelta en Barcelona, doy un curso de postgrado en el IDEC, universidad Pompeu Fabra, titulado FOTOPERIODISME PER A REDACTORS. Tambien participa Albert Cañagueral. En la foto los alumnos practicando congelados, barridos y estelas en la calle Balmes.

From the 14 to the 18 of July, back in Barcelona, I give a workshop in IDEC, POMPEU FABRA UNIVERSITY, called “PHOTOJOURNALISM FOR WRITERS”. Albert Cañagueral also teaches. In the picture the students taking photos in Balmes street.

REVELA OLEIROS 2008

Voy a Oleiros, Galicia, la segunda semana de julio para participar en la 3º edición de REVELA, el foro internacional de reportajes y sociedad dirigido este año por Guillermo González. Imparto un taller titulado PLANTEAMIENTO DE UN REPORTAJE: IDEAS, PREPARACIÓN Y REALIZACIÓN. Y también expongo mis fotos de "Nicaragua, café solidario" en el marco de la muestra colectiva que se exhibe en los parques y plazas del concello. Oleiros es una preciosa localidad, junto a La Coruña, y que ha sido noticia recientemente por la inauguración de un busto del Ché Guevara en una de sus rotondas.

I travel to Oleiros, in Galicia, the second week of July, to participate in the 3º edition of Revela. Revela is an initiative by Oleiros Town Council to promote the encounter between social reality and the public through photography, directed this year by Guillermo González. I give a workshop called “PICTURE STORY APPROACH: IDEAS, PREPARATION AND REALIZATION”. I also show pictures of coffee collectors in Nicaragua, in the frame of a big collective exhibition in the open air. Oleiros is a beautiful place, besides La Coruña, recently in the news for placing a Che Guevara head in one of the city’s roundabouts.
